Event Overview

Welcome to the TOP CHEEZ OPEN RINK, Mix'd Tapes Pro Roller Hockey Series. This exhilarating event brings together elite roller hockey teams to compete for substantial cash prizes, awards, and the glory of being crowned champions. The event is designed to provide a full day of competitive play and entertaining contests, engaging both players and fans alike.

Registration and Participation

- Team Registration: Up to 8 teams can register for each event location.

- Team Composition: Each team must consist of at least 6 players, including a goaltender.

- Registration Fee: $110 per player.

- Registration Deadline: One week before the event date.

- Eligibility: Open to all semi-professional and professional roller hockey teams.

Event Schedule (8-hour day)

- 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Check-in and Warm-up

- 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM: Game 1: Team A vs. Team B

- 10:45 AM - 11:30 AM: Game 2: Team C vs. Team D

- 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Trick Shots Contest

- 12:00 PM - 12:45 PM: Game 3: Team E vs. Team F

- 12:45 PM - 1:30 PM: Game 4: Team G vs. Team H

- 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM: Top Cheez CLANK Contest

- 2:00 PM - 2:45 PM: Game 5: Team A vs. Team C

- 2:45 PM - 3:30 PM: Game 6: Team B vs. Team D

- 3:30 PM - 4:00 PM: Skill Break and Refreshment

- 4:00 PM - 4:45 PM: Game 7: Team E vs. Team G

- 4:45 PM - 5:30 PM: Game 8: Team F vs. Team H

- 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM: Semi-final 1 (Top 1 vs. Top 4)

- 6:00 PM - 6:30 PM: Semi-final 2 (Top 2 vs. Top 3)

- 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM: Break and MVP/Most Assists/Most Goals Announcements

- 7:00 PM - 7:30 PM: Championship Game (Winner of Semi-final 1 vs. Winner of Semi-final 2)

- 7:30 PM - 8:00 PM: Awards Ceremony and Closing Remarks

Tournament Format

- Round Robin: Each team will play 2 games in the round robin stage.

- Game Duration: Each game will consist of two 20-minute halves with a 5-minute intermission.

- Points System: Win = 3 points, Tie = 1 point, Loss = 0 points.

- Tiebreakers: In case of a tie in the standings, the following criteria will be used in order:

  1. Goal Difference

  2. Goals For

  3. Head-to-head result

  4. Shootout (if needed)

Playoffs

- The top 4 teams based on points from the round robin will advance to the semi-finals.

- Semi-finals will be single elimination.

- The winners of the semi-finals will compete in the Championship Game.

- First, second and third place winners recieve cash awards.

- Each player receives an OPEN RINK Swag Bag Bundle. 

Contests and Awards

- Trick Shots Contest: A showcase of individual skill and creativity, judged by a panel.

- Top Cheez CLANK Contest: Players attempt to hit the top post to produce the signature "clank" sound, earning points for accuracy.

- MVP Award: Given to the most outstanding player of the tournament.

- Most Assists Award: Awarded to the player with the highest number of assists.

- Most Goals Award: Awarded to the player with the highest number of goals.
